How To Make Your Vision Board - Part 2

Last week we covered the types of Visions Boards. If you want to read part 1 again, go to https://swati-nigam.mykajabi.com/blog/how-to-make-your-vision-board-part-1

I hope you are ready with these:

  1. Which type of Vision Board you want to make.
  2. Which life areas you wish to transform?

NEXT: Find The Right Pictures and Words

The next step is to find the right pictures and words that show you what you desire.

For example, if you want to lose weight, find pictures of people who have fit, healthy bodies that inspire you. If you want a new house, and if you already know which one you want, take a picture of that house. If you don't know which house, then find pictures of houses that are like the dream house you have in mind. If you want to earn a certain amount, for example, $10,000 per month, you write down in bold and beautiful letters, "I earn $10,000 every month".

This way, find pictures that show your dream realized in every area of your life that you wish to transform. You will later arrange these on your Vision Board.

Make sure you pick only those pictures that truly inspire you and make you feel happy. This is very important.

Where Can I Find Pictures For The Vision Board

1. Magazines:

The usual way for most people has been magazines. They look for pictures and words in the magazines that most inspire them. If you are someone who has a lot of magazines at home, you can do this too. What I don't like about this option is, you need to leaf through endless magazines to hopefully find the pictures that you will love. And it is very time consuming and messy. However, if you enjoy doing this, or have found some good pictures already, please do cut them out neatly and keep them.

2. Pixabay.com:

This is a website from where you can download free pictures. Go to this website, and search for what you want. For example, if you want a particular car, put the correct keywords in the search bar and find it (eg: Tesla electric car). If you want to travel to Italy for a vacation, find beautiful pictures of Italy. Download the pictures that make you feel really happy. If you have your Vision Board on Pinterest instead of making a physical Vision Board, then just create a board on your Pinterest account called, "Vision Board" or any other name, and keep pinning the pictures you like.

3. Unsplash.com:

This is another website where you can find many free pictures.

4. Google Images:

Go to google.com, and on the right, click "Images". Google images is a HUGE collection of images, and you are almost guaranteed to find the pictures you are looking for. However, most of these pictures are copyrighted, so please do not use them on websites or anywhere public. Use these images only for your Vision Board because this is personal, and only for you to see.

5. Other online resources:

Pinterest.com, Instagram. These pictures are also copyrighted, so please do not use them on websites, Facebook, or anywhere public. The only publicly visible place you can have these copyrighted pictures is Pinterest.com. But usually, you can use them for your own very private vision board that no one else will see. If the copyrights say you must not download them even for your personal use, then please do not download those pictures.

NEXT: Arranging The Pictures On Your Vision Board

If you have got your pictures from magazines, you are ready to arrange them on your board.

If you have them downloaded, pick out the ones you love most, and get them printed if you are doing a physical vision board (as opposed to a digital copy).

If you want, you can arrange the pictures on Canva.com or other photo editing softwares. Open any image editing software you are familiar with, and create a blank canvas about 20" x 30" (or any other size you want). Then arrange all the downloaded pictures in this canvas beautifully. Once you are satisfied with the pictures and words on it, get it printed and hang it where you can see it often.

If you want to keep the Vision Board digital, you can make the above digital canvas your laptop wallpaper where you can see it every day.

If you are making a notebook as your Vision Board, stick the pictures in your notebook, and use it like your "Dream Manifesting Album".

Make sure you arrange the pictures and words in a pleasing manner. Make it look beautiful so that you will FEEL like looking at your Vision Board. If it is not pleasing to your eyes, you will not look at it, and your efforts are wasted. So make sure you make your Vision Board pretty to you.
